She wondered if her family would be better off without her.
Our founder, Alison, suffered extreme postpartum anxiety and depression after the birth of her daughter in 2014. With health issues, extensive breastfeeding problems, and the general struggles of becoming a new mother, the anxiety and depression became so intense at times that she began to wonder if her family would be better off without her.

It was time to seek help.
Those feelings marked the pivotal moment where she finally realized that she needed to seek help. With the support of family, friends and her circle of care, the fog of postpartum life that was once overcome with anxiety and depression slowly lifted, and she was able to start enjoying motherhood to its fullest.
